Wooden toy blocks

The Roman Arch allows children to explore the principles of architecture and engineering. By constructing the arch, children learn about balance, symmetry, and the strength of different shapes. This material, made from beechwood, is a valuable addition to the Montessori classroom, as it integrates lessons in history, science, and mathematics. Building the Roman Arch helps children understand the importance of arches in ancient architecture and their applications in modern structures. It also encourages problem-solving and critical thinking as children experiment with different ways to achieve stability and balance.
