The book contains exercises that can be used to help children prevent slurring or interdental sigmatism, when the front part of the tongue takes a position between the teeth when pronouncing the sounds S, Z, C, DZ, Š, Ž, Č, DŽ. The book has a theoretical part with an explanation of its use and a practical part with an appendix consisting of 13 colorful work materials – worksheets. The first worksheet contains a series of articulation exercises for learning the S sound, while the remaining 12 pages contain pictures and words for reinforcing the S sound in words. The materials in the book's appendix are based on the rhythmic structure and melodic flow of words, therefore this work material can be used not only to correct a child's speech, but also in other cases, for example: strengthening Latvian language skills in preschool and younger school-age children whose native language is another, children from diaspora Latvian families, children with speech motor planning difficulties, if the child's language has an insufficient vocabulary and difficulties with visual-spatial perception. The author of the book is a speech therapist with several years of experience. Readers are already familiar with her book "Sinapes vokals un diphthongs pantiņi".
