Chronological Sound Sequences is an active listening and oral expression workshop that invites children to reconstruct short stories from soundscapes of everyday life.
What if everyday noises were the starting point for a story?
Children listen to a sequence of noises or sounds. Using these clues, they must guess what is happening, identify and order the actions, and then retell the story in their own words.
The game is led by the teacher and then offered independently once the process is mastered.
PROGRESSION OF ACTIVITIES
The workshop includes 10 soundscapes of increasing difficulty , with 5 to 8 images each: the morning routine, recess, apple cake, the cafeteria, a birthday party, the evening routine, a walk in the forest, a visit to the doctor, a walk in the countryside, and shopping at the supermarket.
Each soundscape consists of an audio track and corresponding images.
A link to digitized images for projection is also included.
